DeannaG SmallSarah Austin has combined a career in community relations with a commitment to help those without the means to help themselves. She coordinated with elected officials to provide clean and safe water and wastewater services throughout the Houston area. Sarah was also the community relations coordinator for Houston for Barnes and Noble where she helped implement a national project advocating literacy for children which was held throughout all the Barnes and Noble stores in the country. She also coordinated events in Houston including Share Our Strength which partnered with Barnes and Noble conducting events with proceeds donated to endeavoring ending hunger in America. She was also a Child Advocate volunteer in Houston and served as a court appointed child advocate representing the best interest of abused children throughout their process in the legal system. Sarah also worked as a CASA volunteer in El Paso as a court appointed advocate and worked with the homeless and organized a fun run to help feed the hungry and those living on the street.
